Advanced Field Technologies LLC is a Hood River, Oregon–based company delivering advanced field engineering, data acquisition, drone/UAV surveying, and remote sensing services. We help energy, infrastructure, agriculture, and environmental clients turn field conditions into reliable, actionable data.
Our headquarters is located at 2100 May Street, in Hood River, Oregon, ZIP code 97031. Hood River sits in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge — a world-renowned corridor for wind energy, agriculture, outdoor recreation, and renewable technology. This location gives us direct access to the Pacific Northwest's most active field sites, from wind farms and orchards to highways, bridges, and environmental monitoring stations.
Advanced Field Technologies brings together field engineers, geospatial specialists, drone pilots, and data analysts. We operate ruggedized sensor platforms, UAVs (drones), IoT data loggers, and survey-grade GPS/GNSS equipment — collecting high-quality field data in harsh, remote, or hard-to-access environments and turning it into engineering-grade reports, maps, and dashboards.
To make advanced field technology accessible and reliable — helping our clients measure, monitor, and understand the physical world with the same precision they expect from their back-office tools.

Field Projects Delivered
Aerial mapping, orthomosaics, 3D models, volumetric stockpile measurements, construction progress tracking, and site inspections using survey-grade drones.
Airborne and terrestrial LiDAR for forestry, power-line corridors, transportation corridors, terrain modeling, and asset inventories in vegetated or complex terrain.
Deployment of weather stations, soil sensors, vibration monitors, water-quality probes, and IoT loggers — with cellular, satellite, or LoRaWAN connectivity.
Control surveys, boundary and construction staking, as-built surveys, topographic mapping, and utility locating using RTK GNSS and total stations.
Thermal inspections of solar and wind assets, bridge and road inspections, pipeline right-of-way surveys, tower and pole inspections, and environmental site assessments.
Processing drone imagery, LiDAR point clouds, and field sensor data into CAD, GIS, dashboards, and engineering reports — ready for your team to use.

We inspected 140 turbine blades using drone-based visual and thermal imaging, delivering a defect map that allowed the operator to prioritize repairs and avoid unplanned downtime.
We collected airborne LiDAR and aerial imagery along a 40-mile highway corridor for ODOT, producing a 5-point-per-square-meter point cloud and DEM for roadway design.
We mapped 800 acres of pear orchards with multispectral drone imagery, producing NDVI and stress maps that helped the orchard manager target irrigation and spraying.
Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Pacific Time, PT); field work available by project schedule.
